The Bermuda Karate Federation (BKF) serves as the authoritative body for sport karate within Bermuda, overseeing a network of 10+ clubs and supporting a community of over 200 athletes. As a non-profit entity, the BKF operates with an emphasis on amateur sportsmanship, aligning its endeavors with the guiding principles of the Olympic Charter.

Our association holds the distinction of being officially acknowledged by the World Karate Federation (WKF), the world's largest international governing body for sport karate. The WKF boasts a membership that spans across more than 190 countries and is uniquely recognized by the International Olympic Committee. With an extensive membership exceeding ten million, the WKF stands as a testament to the global appeal and influence of karate as a sport.

ABOUT US

Welcome to the Bermuda Karate Federation!

We are the governing body for karate in Bermuda, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of karate in our community. Our mission is to provide high-quality training, education, and competition opportunities for all ages and skill levels.

Our organization was founded in 2016 and has since grown to include 6 dojos and 200 members across the island. We are proud to be affiliated with the World Karate Federation (WKF) and to have our instructors certified by the WKF.

We offer a range of programs, including children's classes, adult classes, and competition training. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced, and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all of our members.

We also host a number of events throughout the year, including local tournaments, national championships, and international competitions. Our goal is to provide our members with opportunities to compete at the highest level and to showcase the talent and dedication of Bermuda's karate athletes.

At the Bermuda Karate Federation, we believe that karate is more than just a sport - it is a way of life. We are committed to upholding the values of respect, discipline, and humility that are at the heart of karate, and we strive to instill these values in all of our members.
